Industrial media blasting is very noisy. New buffs are great
It's an excellent protection for the price also love how it swivels which makes it very comfortable to put on. I actually use this for my shockwave treatments which had me in a lot of ear pain when I wore no protection and this works wonderfully to prevent ear pain and hearing damage so I know it's working. I didn't get a knock off amazon product as I couldn't trust the protection ratings.

Comfortable on my large head. Works well to block out most noise from metal grinding, air compressors, and other similar auto repair related noises. I can wear earbuds beneath to listen to music or wear plugs to really get silence.
I use these to meditate, they are so comfortable that I have even fallen asleep with them on, needless to say that the noise reduction is excellent

Now that I've retired, I am spending a lot more time at the Culver City Rock and Mineral Club Lapidary Shop. It gets very loud in the shop with 3 large diamond slab saws, 3 diamond trim saws, 6 diamond trim wheels and multiple polisher machines running. They have noise-reduction earmuffs available, but they are hard plastic and after about an hour of wearing, my ears and head hurt. After online researching, I decided any earmuff recommended by Bob Vila had to be great. With the Decibel Defense extra padding and easier adjustment, I can now work steadily and protect my hearing without discomfort.

My husband has PTSD and when we go to the auto races they let off fireworks and you can guess how he reacts. With headphones on he was able to enjoy the shows without any issues. They are truly a blessing to take to the races. Would highly recommend them ❤️

They work as expected. Would have been perfect if they could have been extended a little more. Fit great without a hat and just fit when wearing a baseball style hat. I don't think I have a big head, LOL. Other than that I'm satisfied with the product. The service was great. Something that is slowly disappearing from retail sales. Because I purchased 2 sets, the total dollar cost afforded me free shipping so I don't know what the shipping cost would be if I had ordered 1 pair. Seems to me that shipping has become a profit center with a lot of internet sales companies and I've cancelled orders because the shipping was outrageous.

I have only used the decibel defense once while mowing my lot. My right ear was pinched a bit so I am still working on their use. I am going to cut a tree down in the next few weeks and will have a better idea.

I needed new ear protection and the "DD's" checked all the boxes. I really like the fact that when the time comes, I will be able to swap out cushions. They fit comfortably and block out the excessive noise when I'm doing my yard.

These do not block any more noise from our tractor engines than the less expensive muffs rated lower. Very disappointed given the price. We have to wear ear plugs under them.
